In 2023, Roobet will host the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Cup once again.

An online crypto casino called Roobet has revived their Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) tournament series, the Roobet Cup 2023, for the next October season.

The online competition is scheduled to take place from October 25th to November 2nd, and a grand total of $250,000 will be up for grabs.

To get to the playoffs, 16 teams will compete in four groups, following the traditional group stage format of the German Super League.

After that, each group's top two teams will advance to the playoffs, where they will compete until a victor is determined by a single-elimination bracket.

Astralis, Big, Furia, and Ninjas in Pyjamas are the four confirmed teams at this point.

A total of $150,000 will be awarded to the grand prize winner.

As part of SXSW Sydney, the Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) tournament—commonly known as "The Big Reunion" of CS:GO teams—will be held just before the Roobet Cup 2023.

Heroic, the current top-ranked team, and Astralis both turned down direct invitations to the IEM Sydney tournament when the list of invitees was revealed.

Because it is a local area network (LAN) competition, teams competing in the IEM Sydney 2023 must make the trip to the Aware Super Theatre, ICC Sydney location. The prize fund for this event is $250,000.
