As a result of regulatory violations, MGA has confirmed that it has revoked Totup System's licence.

Totup System's licence to operate in Malta has been revoked by the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) as a result of regulatory breaches.

In response to the MGA's notice of cancellation dated 10 April 2023, Totup System was given 20 days to present evidence justifying the non-proceeding of the enforcement actions. Still, the deadline for Totup System's submissions to the Authority was not met.

Therefore, Totup System is required to immediately halt all gaming operations, stop registering new players, and pay the outstanding fees owed to the MGA, which amount to €79,570/$85,574, within three days of this communication being published on the Authority's website (17 April).

One of the licence violations occurred in 2022 and 2023 when Totup System failed to pay the relevant licence payments to the MGA on many occasions. These unpaid fees totaled €50,000 and are still owing today. The second violation was the company's chronic underpayment of the relevant compliance contribution costs owed to the MGA.

Another twenty days have passed, giving Totup the chance to file an appeal.

Licences were also granted to EveryMatrix and GameArt earlier this year by the Maltese authority.
